Patna: Bihar Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav expressed deep sorrow over the tragic boat accident in Vaishali district, which claimed the lives of several children. Speaking to the media in Patna, he demanded an impartial, high-level investigation to establish responsibility and determine whether negligence contributed to the tragedy.
Yadav urged the state government to provide comprehensive financial assistance to affected families. He also demanded at least three decimals of land for each victim’s family to support their rehabilitation and help them rebuild their lives.
Questioning the availability of emergency medical services and local healthcare facilities, Yadav called for a thorough review of the administration’s response to the incident. He stressed that accountability and concrete relief measures should take precedence during the crisis.
When asked about Union Minister Chirag Paswan’s remarks, Yadav dismissed them as irrelevant, arguing that the focus should remain on securing justice for victims and providing meaningful assistance to grieving families. He reiterated his demand for a transparent investigation.
