Operating from 10 pm to 6 am, the service covers Durga Puja, Diwali and Chhath Puja. Two designated routes will connect nearby localities. SSP Kantesh Kumar Mishra inaugurated the initiative, emphasising passenger safety and assistance.
Bihar Cuts No-Permit Vehicle Penalty Period from 30 Days to Seven
Patna: Bihar’s Transport Department has reduced the penalty calculation period for vehicles operating without valid permits from 30 days to seven days, offering relief to owners. District Transport Officers must implement the revised rule. The Motor Vehicles Act’s ₹10,000 penalty provision remains unchanged. Vehicle owners must pay applicable fines and submit receipts to obtain pending permits.
Patna Adds 27 Electric Buses, Including Eight Pink Buses for Women
Patna: The city has received 27 new air-conditioned electric buses under the Centre’s PM-eBus Sewa scheme, increasing its fleet to 52. Eight pink buses will serve women commuters. The buses will connect Patna with Hajipur, Bihta, Maner, Naubatpur and nearby areas. Bihar is set to receive 400 electric buses, with 150 allocated to Patna.
