Brief By Newsbrief / 1:12 PM on 07 Oct 2026

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) senior MLA Bhai Virendra on Wednesday launched a sharp attack on the Janata Dal United (JDU) and the Bihar government, claiming the party is facing a serious internal crisis. He warned Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Health Minister Nishant Kumar to “understand the situation” before it is too late.

Commenting on reports of political differences within JDU, Virendra alleged that the party was heading towards a major breakdown. He also criticised Rashtriya Lok Morcha chief Upendra Kushwaha over the reported defection of three MLAs.

Virendra further claimed that Bihar’s government treasury was empty and alleged that development work was being projected without adequate financial resources. He said he had not received his salary when he checked his bank account.

The RJD leader also supported opposition protests against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. On the Patna Graduate constituency, he urged Nitish Kumar to accept Prashant Kishor’s challenge and publicly endorse JDU candidate Neeraj Kumar.
