Road accident victims can receive cashless treatment up to ₹1.5 lakh at Ayushman Bharat-empanelled hospitals under the PM Relief Scheme. The government will cover treatment costs for seven days from the accident date. Patna District Magistrate Kundan Kumar directed hospitals and police officials to ensure victims receive treatment without difficulty.
To access the benefit, victims must be admitted to an Ayushman Bharat-empanelled hospital within 24 hours of the accident. The hospital will enter patient details into the online Transaction Management System, followed by police verification and necessary approval.
Officials highlighted the importance of the golden hour after an accident, when immediate medical care can save lives. The administration urged citizens to promptly take injured victims to the nearest hospital. Timely treatment can improve survival chances and ensure access to cashless medical assistance under the scheme.
