Patna Traffic Police created a green corridor between AIIMS Patna and IGIMS to facilitate the urgent transportation of donated organs for a transplant procedure. An ambulance carrying a donated kidney and liver left AIIMS Patna at 11:54 am and reached IGIMS at 12:10 pm, completing the journey in just 16 minutes.

Traffic arrangements were made under the direction of Traffic SP Sagar Kumar Jha, with personnel deployed at multiple points along the route. Officers coordinated traffic and regulated intersections to ensure the ambulance faced no delays or congestion.

The green corridor allowed the ambulance to travel continuously without being held at traffic signals or other obstructions. After reaching IGIMS, the organs were handed over to the medical team for the transplant-related procedures.

Traffic officials said timely transportation is crucial in organ transplantation, requiring close coordination between medical teams, ambulance personnel and police. The successful operation highlighted the importance of efficient traffic management during critical medical emergencies.
