The monsoon has weakened across Bihar, with most districts expected to experience partly cloudy skies and relatively dry weather. Light rain is possible in some areas from October 6, according to the latest forecast. Patna may witness partly cloudy conditions, while temperatures are expected to remain around seasonal levels.
Over the past 24 hours, Bihar recorded below-normal rainfall, with West Champaran receiving around 0.3 mm. The state’s rainfall deficit has widened as monsoon activity declined.
Despite weakening rainfall, the flood situation remains critical in several districts. Thousands of people have been affected, while authorities continue monitoring water levels and carrying out relief operations. Reports indicate fatalities and displacement in flood-hit areas, particularly in severely affected districts.
Officials have advised residents in vulnerable areas to remain alert and follow local advisories carefully as weather conditions evolve across the state over the coming days.
