Patna’s Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation (BUILDCO) has introduced a digital e-office system aimed at streamlining file processing and improving transparency. Under the new system, files and applications will be processed online and assigned unique identification numbers, allowing officials to track their status electronically.
BUILDCO has already uploaded more than 2,500 files to the digital system, while around 10,000 additional files are expected to be uploaded. Employees are being trained to use the new system, and digital signatures of officials have been prepared for electronic processing.
The platform will allow people to submit applications and letters online and track their progress through the system. Pending files will also be monitored, with branches instructed to provide details of files pending beyond 24 hours.
An AI-based dashboard is being developed to provide real-time information on projects, file tracking and contractor databases, helping senior officials monitor progress and take implementation decisions more quickly.
