Police Raid Hotel in Chhapra, Several Couples Detained

Police conducted a surprise raid at Hotel Passion in the Bhagwan Bazar police station area of Chhapra following intelligence about alleged illegal and suspicious activities. The operation was led by Sadar SDPO Ram Pukar Singh, during which several couples were reportedly detained from different rooms and taken to the police station for questioning.

Officials said complaints regarding the hotel had been received repeatedly. Authorities are now verifying its licenses, registration and other documents, while the premises could be sealed after a magistrate is appointed.

The raid also reportedly led to the detention of a Bihar Home Guard personnel, although police are examining the circumstances surrounding his alleged release. Investigators are attempting to identify brokers and the alleged operators behind the network.

According to sources, some of the women detained were reportedly college students who had come to the city citing education-related reasons. Police are investigating whether they were being drawn into an organized network and who may be facilitating it.
