Patna’s Marine Drive Isn’t a Stunt Park: Police Book Rider After Viral Video

Patna Traffic Police have registered an FIR after a viral video showed a motorcycle rider allegedly performing dangerous stunts with an unidentified woman on the JP Ganga Path, popularly known as Marine Drive. The video surfaced on September 6 and showed the duo allegedly riding dangerously and violating traffic rules.

During the investigation, police traced the registration number of the Hero Splendor motorcycle seen in the video. The bike owner and rider were identified as Deepak Kumar, a resident of Mogalpur in Patna City. Police said the alleged stunt was performed on September 5 around 5:30 pm while travelling from Krishna Ghat towards Digha Golambar.

An FIR was registered at Gandhi Maidan Traffic Police Station on September 7 against Kumar and the unidentified woman. Police are now working to establish the woman’s identity.

Traffic police warned motorists, particularly young people, against dangerous driving and stunts on public roads, saying violations would invite strict legal action.
