Eight Injured as Speeding Car Collides With E-Rickshaw in Vaishali

At least eight people, including two children, were injured after a speeding car collided head-on with an e-rickshaw near Chakvyas village on the Goraul-Katraha road in Vaishali on Wednesday. The impact left several passengers seriously injured, prompting their referral to Hajipur Sadar Hospital after initial treatment.

According to reports, Suraj Kumar, a resident of Gangachak Bariyarpur, was returning home with his family after visiting his in-laws in Goraul. Five people travelling in the e-rickshaw, including four-year-old Saanvi Kumari and five-year-old Sudhanshu Kumar, were injured.

Several occupants of the car, including Saloni Kumari and Prisha Soha, also sustained injuries. Local residents rushed to the scene and helped rescue the victims before informing police.

Police seized both damaged vehicles and began investigating the incident. Preliminary findings suggest excessive speed may have caused the collision, though the exact circumstances will be established after the investigation.
