A woman named by police in connection with an alleged love affair has challenged the claim surrounding the deaths of four youths in Barh, Patna. The youths died after their health suddenly deteriorated on August 30.

Police suspect that the victims were poisoned after being given alcohol. An SIT arrested two people and detained a juvenile during the investigation. Police said an accused allegedly confessed to mixing poison with alcohol before serving it to the four victims. However, authorities clarified that the exact cause of death will be established only after the FSL report.

Police also claimed the accused had a dispute with one victim over an alleged relationship involving his sister, while the other three allegedly mocked him.

The claim has angered relatives and villagers, who suspect an attempt to suppress the alcohol angle. The woman has demanded concrete evidence, including call records or photographs, and threatened defamation proceedings if police fail to substantiate their allegations.
