Youth Drowns While Bathing in Falgu River Near Gaya’s Rubber Dam

A tragic incident occurred near the Rubber Dam on the Falgu River in Gaya on Sunday afternoon when a young man drowned while taking a bath there. The deceased was identified as Umesh Prasad Yadav, a resident of Islampur village under Muffasil police station.

According to local residents, Yadav had gone to the river for bathing. While moving toward the water, he reportedly slipped and fell into a deep section near the Rubber Dam. The strong current and depth prevented him from regaining control, and he drowned.

After receiving information, police and SDRF personnel reached the spot. SDRF divers conducted an intensive search for several hours before recovering Yadav’s body from the river.

Police completed the necessary formalities and sent the body to Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem examination. The incident triggered grief among the victim’s family, while police have begun further investigation and legal proceedings.
