Bihar Weather Alert: Orange Alert Issued for 11 Districts

The India Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for 11 districts in Bihar, warning of heavy rainfall, thunderstorms and lightning. A yellow alert has been issued for 15 other districts, with rain and strong winds of up to 40 kmph expected in some areas.

Rainfall is likely to continue until September 2, with intermittent showers across different parts of the state. Several districts recorded significant rainfall in the past 24 hours, including Raghunathpur, Siwan, Goh, Aurangabad, Forbesganj, Araria, Silao, Nalanda, Masaurhi, Patna, and Tedagachh in Kishanganj.

Patna is expected to experience cloudy conditions with intermittent rain. The maximum temperature on August 30 and 31 may remain around 33°C, while minimum temperatures could stay between 27°C and 28°C.

Despite recent showers, Bihar continues to face a seasonal rainfall deficit. Authorities have urged residents to remain alert during thunderstorms and heavy rain.
