UGC-NET Results Declared for 84 Subjects; Over 97,000 Qualify for PhD

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared UGC-NET results for 84 subjects, with more than 6.07 lakh candidates appearing for the examination. Over 97,000 candidates have qualified for eligibility for PhD admissions, while more than 4,000 have qualified for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).

UGC-NET determines eligibility for Assistant Professor positions and JRFs in universities and colleges across India. However, examinations for English, Commerce and Sociology will be conducted again on September 9 and 10 after an expert review found factual, typing, translation and language-related errors in their question papers.

The re-examination will be held without any additional fee for candidates. NTA had released the answer key on August 16, along with a special notice regarding the three affected subjects.

Results for the remaining 84 subjects are now available on the official NTA website, allowing candidates to check their scores, eligibility status and other relevant details, and plan next steps.
