Four Arrested in Patna Junction Mobile Theft Case

Patna: Railway Police have arrested four alleged members of a mobile and luggage theft gang in connection with a case registered at Patna Junction on August 23. The arrests were made during a patrol near the western end of Platform 1, close to the crew lobby.

According to police, the suspects were behaving suspiciously and were stopped for questioning and search. Officers allegedly recovered four touchscreen mobile phones believed to be stolen.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Raja Kumar, 20, Wasim Khan, 19, Kanhaiya Kumar, 21, and Manoj Mallik, 19. Raja, Wasim and Kanhaiya are from different areas of Patna, while Manoj is a resident of Laukaha in Madhubani district.

Police said the accused have been booked under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. ASI Shyamlal Yadav is the complainant, while ASI Abhishek Kumar Singh is conducting the investigation. Authorities are working to identify the rightful owners of the recovered phones.
