Bihar Student Protest Intensifies Ahead of August 25 Mega Rally

Patna: Students protesting at the Gardanibagh demonstration site continue to press the government over their demands, with tensions rising ahead of August 25 mega protest. Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav has extended support to the agitating students, giving the movement a political dimension.

Following the support, Patna District Magistrate Kundan Kumar invited student leaders Saurav Kumar and Dileep Kumar for talks aimed at resolving the issue. Officials including SP Kartikeya Sharma and SSP Murari Krishna attended the meeting.

The students sought a solution to their grievances and demanded meetings with the Chief Minister, Education Department’s Chief Secretary and Education Minister. However, Dileep Kumar said a direct meeting with the Chief Minister appears unlikely, leaving students disappointed.

Saurav Kumar warned that the August 25 protest would proceed if their demands remain unresolved. Students are scheduled to assemble at 10 am at Gate 10 of Gandhi Maidan.
