RJD Dissolves All Bihar Organisational Committees

Patna: The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has dissolved all its organisational committees across Bihar, including units at the district, block and panchayat levels. The move is being seen as part of a broader strategy to rebuild the party’s grassroots network ahead of future political challenges.

Under Tejashwi Yadav’s leadership, the party plans to conduct marathon meetings from August 31 to September 26 to assess organisational strength, worker participation and booth-level preparedness. The exercise will begin in West Champaran before moving to other districts.

The RJD aims to create a stronger structure extending from panchayats to individual polling booths. The new organisation is expected to combine experienced leaders with younger and newer faces, while responsibilities will be redistributed at the local level.

The decision has triggered activity among existing office-bearers and workers, as questions emerge over who will retain positions and who will receive new responsibilities. The upcoming meetings are expected to shape the party’s organisational strategy across Bihar.
