The Bihar Economic Offences Unit (EOU) has arrested Raushan Kumar, a Technical Assistant at Mumbai's Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC), for his alleged involvement in the BPSC Assistant Education Development Officer (AEDO) recruitment examination scam. A resident of Nalanda district, Kumar was apprehended from the BARC campus in Trombay by a special EOU team and is being brought to Patna on transit remand. Investigators allege he entered an examination centre in Nalanda during the April 2026 recruitment test by posing as a staff member of a mobile jammer installation company, allowing him access to restricted areas. Officials said Kumar joined BARC in 2025 and was undergoing training when he was arrested. The EOU is now interrogating him to identify other suspects and uncover the alleged solver gang and broader network behind the recruitment examination fraud.
