Hazaribagh Publishes Draft Electoral Roll After SIR Drive

Hazaribagh: The Election Commission has published the draft electoral roll for Hazaribagh following the completion of the enumeration phase under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) 2026. District officials said 13,52,027 enumeration forms were successfully digitised out of 16,32,168 registered voters. Around 2,80,141 names have been excluded from the draft list after being identified as absent, shifted, deceased, duplicate, or voters who refused to sign verification forms.

Deputy Commissioner Hemant Sati urged residents to verify their names at polling stations and immediately contact their Booth Level Officer (BLO) if any eligible voter has been left out. Applications for inclusion, correction, transfer, or deletion can be submitted using Forms 6, 7, and 8 between August 5 and September 4, 2026. The district has also increased its polling stations from 1,866 to 1,968, aiming to improve voter accessibility ahead of the revised electoral roll's final publication.
