Patna: Travelling on the Patna–Buxar National Highway (NH-922) has become costlier after revised toll rates came into effect at the Kulharia toll plaza from August 1. The updated charges apply to cars, buses, commercial vehicles and heavy trucks, increasing travel expenses for daily commuters, transport operators and businesses using the route. Officials said the revision follows the latest National Highways toll notification and is part of the routine revision of user fees. Frequent travellers are expected to feel the greatest impact as transportation costs rise. The Patna–Buxar corridor is a key highway connecting the state capital with western Bihar, carrying significant passenger and freight traffic every day. Transporters may also face higher operational costs, which could influence logistics expenses. Authorities have advised commuters and vehicle owners to check the revised toll schedule before travelling to avoid inconvenience at the plaza.
