Railways Extend Special Trains for Bihar, Boost Connectivity to Major Cities

Indian Railways has extended the operation of four pairs of special trains connecting Bihar with Telangana, Maharashtra and Odisha in response to sustained passenger demand. The extension will benefit travellers from Patna, Danapur and Raxaul by providing additional services to Hyderabad, Mumbai and Khurda Road through September. The extended trains include the Patna–Cherlapalli Special, Danapur–Cherlapalli Special, Raxaul–Lokmanya Tilak Special and Patna–Khurda Road Junction Special. According to railway officials, the decision was taken to accommodate increased passenger traffic during the current travel season and improve connectivity on key long-distance routes. The trains will continue operating on their existing schedules via major junctions across several states, offering greater convenience to passengers. The extensions are expected to reduce waiting lists, ease travel congestion and provide more reliable transportation options for commuters, students, migrant workers and families travelling between Bihar and major metropolitan destinations.
