Patna Airport Rises in Global ASQ Rankings

Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport (JPNI) in Patna has significantly improved its standing in the global Airport Service Quality (ASQ) rankings, moving from 78th to 69th position. The achievement reflects higher passenger satisfaction and improved service standards, placing Patna among the Airports Authority of India's (AAI) top-performing airports for customer experience.

The improved ranking is attributed to upgrades in airport infrastructure, better operational efficiency, cleaner facilities, streamlined passenger services and enhanced overall travel experience. Airport authorities have focused on modernising amenities and maintaining international service benchmarks to meet growing passenger expectations.

The recognition is considered a major milestone for Bihar's aviation sector, highlighting Patna Airport's steady progress despite operational constraints and increasing passenger traffic. Officials said the achievement demonstrates AAI's commitment to improving airport services nationwide while strengthening Patna's position as a key aviation hub in eastern India. Further improvements are expected as infrastructure expansion projects continue.
