NEET UG 2026: Bihar Students Excel as 17 Score Above 700

Bihar has emerged as one of the country's top-performing states in the NEET UG 2026 examination, with 17 students scoring more than 700 marks. According to the National Testing Agency (NTA), over 1.21 lakh candidates from the state qualified for undergraduate admissions in medical, dental, AYUSH and allied health courses.

The results also highlighted the strong performance of female candidates nationwide, who accounted for more than 58% of all qualified aspirants. Bihar's success has been attributed to improving academic standards, better coaching infrastructure and growing student participation in competitive examinations.

The NTA reported that 158 candidates across India scored above 690 marks, including 17 from Bihar who crossed the 700-mark milestone. Most top scorers were between 17 and 19 years of age. With the results declared, the focus now shifts to the counselling and admission process for medical colleges across the country.
