Two Injured After Thar Rams Toto in Gaya

A major road accident was reported in Bihar's Gaya on Thursday when a speeding Thar SUV rammed into a passenger-filled toto near Jai Prakash Jharna. The impact severely damaged the electric rickshaw and left two passengers seriously injured, triggering panic among bystanders. Enraged locals, angered by the condition of the victims, surrounded the Thar and vandalised the vehicle, smashing its windows and causing significant damage. The protest briefly disrupted traffic in the area.

Police rushed to the spot after receiving information about the incident and brought the situation under control. The injured were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where they are undergoing treatment. City SDPO Saroj Kumar confirmed that additional police personnel have been deployed to maintain law and order. Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the accident and are also identifying those involved in the vandalism for appropriate legal action.
