The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced a powerful 40-member team of star campaigners for the upcoming Bankipur Assembly bypoll, intensifying its efforts to retain one of its strongest political bastions in Bihar. Senior leaders, including Samrat Choudhary, Nitin Nabin, Pawan Singh, Vijay Kumar Sinha and several Union ministers, will campaign for BJP candidate Neeraj Kumar Sinha.

Voting for the crucial by-election is scheduled for July 30, with counting expected soon afterward. The BJP has historically dominated Bankipur, winning the constituency consistently since its formation in 2008.

Neeraj Kumar Sinha, a longtime party worker and former mandal president, has been chosen to defend the seat. The contest has gained additional political attention with Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor entering the electoral battle, setting the stage for a closely watched and potentially high-stakes showdown in Patna.
