BJP Candidate Abhishek Kumar Files Bankipur Bypoll Nomination

Patna: BJP candidate Abhishek Kumar, popularly known as Bunty, filed his nomination for the Bankipur Assembly by-election on Thursday after seeking the blessings of his parents. Before leaving home, he touched his mother's feet, received his father's blessings, and shared an emotional message on social media, expressing gratitude for their unwavering support. He then offered prayers at Mahavir Mandir before proceeding to the District Collectorate in Gandhi Maidan to submit his nomination papers. The NDA turned the event into a major show of strength, with Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, MP Ravi Shankar Prasad, and several senior alliance leaders in attendance. The bypoll was necessitated after Nitin Nabin became a Rajya Sabha member. Polling is scheduled for July 30, while counting will take place on August 3. RJD has fielded Rekha Kumari Gupta, while Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor is expected to file his nomination on July 11, intensifying the electoral contest.
