Motorcyclist Dies After Falling From Chhapra Railway Overbridge

A tragic road accident on Shyamchak Railway Overbridge in Chhapra claimed the life of a 32-year-old motorcyclist, leaving his wife and four young children devastated. According to police, the victim, a resident of Pahiya village in Saran district, lost control of his motorcycle after it struck a road divider. The impact threw him off the overbridge, causing severe head and body injuries. He was rushed to Chhapra Sadar Hospital and later referred to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH), but succumbed to his injuries while being transported. Police recovered the body, conducted a post-mortem examination and handed it over to the family. The incident has triggered concerns over safety arrangements on the overbridge, where locals claim several accidents have occurred in the past. Residents have urged authorities to improve lighting, install stronger safety barriers and enhance traffic management to prevent similar tragedies and ensure safer travel for commuters.
