A 30-year-old tourist from Kerala was found dead outside the main entrance of Pilot Baba Dham in Bihar’s Rohtas district, prompting a detailed police investigation. The deceased has been identified as Abhijit KD, a resident of Ernakulam, Kerala. His body was discovered near the shrine after local residents alerted the police.
According to officials, CCTV footage showed the man arriving at the temple premises on Monday night. Preliminary findings suggest he may have died by suicide after allegedly hanging himself from a bamboo structure near the entrance. However, police said the exact cause of death will be confirmed only after the post-mortem examination and forensic analysis.
Investigators are reviewing CCTV footage, questioning local residents and gathering additional evidence to establish the sequence of events. Authorities have also informed the deceased’s family in Kerala. Police stated that further action will be taken based on the post-mortem report and the outcome of the ongoing investigation.
