IMD Forecasts Below-Normal July Rainfall Across Most of Bihar

Patna: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast below-normal rainfall across most parts of Bihar during July, raising concerns over agriculture and water resources. The outlook comes after the state recorded a 46% rainfall deficit in June, receiving only 87.8 mm of rainfall against the normal monthly average. According to the IMD, Bihar's normal July rainfall is around 340.5 mm, but current climate indicators suggest most districts are likely to receive less than average precipitation, though a few pockets may witness near-normal rainfall. The weather office has also predicted above-normal maximum and minimum temperatures across much of the state throughout the month.
