RJD Marks 30th Foundation Day, Lalu Urges Unity Ahead of Polls

The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) celebrated its 30th Foundation Day on Wednesday with a grand event at the party's state headquarters in Patna. Party chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, senior leaders and hundreds of workers attended the programme. Lalu inaugurated the celebrations by lighting a ceremonial lamp and urged party workers to remain united and strengthen the organisation ahead of upcoming elections. Reiterating the party's commitment, he said the RJD would continue fighting for the rights of the poor, backward classes and marginalised communities. During the event, leaders honoured Lalu with a replica of the party's election symbol, the lantern, while Tejashwi Yadav was welcomed with a traditional makhana garland. The Bharat encounter case was also raised during the programme, with artist Chhotu Chhaliya questioning the police action and criticising the state government. The event concluded with a renewed call for organisational unity and electoral preparedness.
