Jaipur Tragedy: 3 Laborers Dead as Under-Construction Wall Collapses, Many Feared Trapped

A tragic incident unfolded in the Amer area of Rajasthan's capital, Jaipur, where an under-construction building's wall collapsed, killing three laborers on the spot. Local administration, police, and rescue teams rushed to the scene immediately after receiving the alert. Several workers are still feared trapped under the debris, and a massive war-footing rescue operation is currently underway to safely pull them out.

According to local eyewitnesses, drain excavation work was being carried out near the site at Tala Mod. Excessive and negligent digging compromised the foundation of the adjacent under-construction building, causing its heavy wall to crash directly onto the workers below. Around 12 people were reportedly near the structure when it collapsed. District Collector Sandesh Nayak arrived at the spot to assess the situation and officially confirmed the three casualties.

Initial investigation reveals that most of the affected and deceased laborers hail from Bihar and Jharkhand. Fortunately, a much larger disaster was averted as it was lunch hour, and the majority of the workforce was away from the immediate danger zone. Currently, NDRF and SDRF teams are actively clearing the rubble to rescue any survivors, while the police have registered a case of negligence to investigate the mishap.
