Driver Seriously Injured as Three Trailers Collide on NH-19

A major road accident occurred on National Highway-19 near Patna Mor in Bihar's Mohania area after three trailers collided late Sunday night. The impact left the driver of a sand-laden trailer trapped inside the crushed cabin. Local residents, assisted by police and National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) personnel, rescued him after nearly an hour using cutting equipment. The injured driver, identified as Ravi Kumar from Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, was taken to Mohania Sub-Divisional Hospital before being referred to a hospital in Varanasi due to serious injuries. The collision briefly disrupted traffic on the highway, but NHAI officials ensured movement continued through one lane before clearing the damaged vehicles with cranes. Police said the driver of the lead trailer fled the scene. Two damaged trailers have been seized, and an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the accident.
