Patna Launches Massive Fire Safety Audit of Coaching Centres

Following the deadly fire incident in Lucknow, Bihar authorities have launched an extensive fire safety audit of coaching institutes across Patna to ensure student safety. Teams from the Fire Services Department are inspecting major coaching centres, including Khan Global Studies, Gyan Bindu GS Academy and other prominent institutions.

Officials are examining emergency exits, fire extinguishers, ventilation systems, evacuation routes and overall compliance with mandatory fire safety norms. Special attention is being given to coaching hubs in Musallahpur Haat, Bahadurpur, Khajanchi Road and Boring Road, where large numbers of students attend classes daily.

Fire Audit Officer Ajay Kumar Sharma said the state government is determined to prevent any recurrence of incidents similar to the Lucknow tragedy. He warned that institutes failing to comply with prescribed safety standards would face strict action.

Authorities have made it clear that violations could result in legal proceedings, closure of coaching centres and other punitive measures. The audit drive is expected to continue across the city in the coming weeks.
