Bihar’s Most Wanted Criminal Lallan Singh Killed in UP STF Encounter

Notorious criminal Lallan Singh, wanted in multiple serious cases across Bihar and Uttar Pradesh, was killed in an encounter with the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (STF) in Saharanpur. According to officials, STF personnel were conducting a checking operation when they intercepted two suspicious individuals. Police claimed Singh opened fire while attempting to evade arrest, prompting retaliatory action.

Singh sustained gunshot injuries and was rushed to a nearby Community Health Centre, where doctors declared him dead. Authorities said he carried a reward of ₹1.25 lakh and was wanted in seven murder cases, besides several incidents of bank robbery, cash van loot, attacks on police personnel and other violent crimes.

The STF recovered pistols, live cartridges, spent bullet shells and a motorcycle from the encounter site. Police records indicate Singh was associated with an organised criminal network operating across state borders. Security has been heightened in the area as further investigations continue.
