Muzaffarpur is poised for significant industrial growth after the Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) approved four new manufacturing projects worth ₹39.42 crore in the Motipur Industrial Area. The investments are expected to strengthen the region’s industrial ecosystem, create employment opportunities, and attract further business activity across North Bihar.

The approved projects include a large mineral water bottling plant in Dumaria, a furniture and household goods manufacturing unit, an electrical equipment factory in Bariarpur, and another industrial venture focused on supporting local economic development. Together, these projects are expected to generate direct and indirect jobs while boosting demand for local suppliers, transport services, and supporting industries.

The approvals were granted during BIADA’s Project Clearance Committee meeting in Patna. Officials said the initiative aligns with the state government’s efforts to accelerate industrialization, improve infrastructure, and position Muzaffarpur as a key manufacturing and investment destination in Bihar.
