Patna ISKCON Temple Hosts Grand Mango Festival with 8 Tonnes of Fruit

Patna’s ISKCON Temple witnessed a massive turnout of devotees on Sunday as it hosted its annual Mango Festival, transforming the temple premises into a vibrant display of devotion and natural beauty. More than eight tonnes of mangoes representing over 20 varieties, including Alphonso, Dasheri, Langra, Malda and Jardalu, were used to decorate the shrine and sanctum of Lord Radha Banke Bihari.

Temple officials said the festival was aimed not only at expressing devotion to the deity but also at promoting environmental awareness and appreciation for nature. ISKCON leaders highlighted the spiritual significance of mangoes, describing them as symbols of sweetness, divine love and devotion. They emphasized that offering nature’s finest gifts to God is an important aspect of bhakti.

Following the evening aarti, the mangoes offered to the deity were distributed as Mahaprasad among thousands of devotees, bringing the colorful and spiritually uplifting celebration to a memorable conclusion.
