NEET UG Re-Exam Triggers Major Traffic Diversions Across Patna on June 21

Brief By Newsbrief / 3:49 PM on 20 Jun 2026

Patna district administration and traffic police have issued a special traffic management plan ahead of the NEET UG re-examination scheduled for June 21, aiming to ensure smooth movement around examination centres and reduce congestion on key city roads. Several vehicle routes have been altered, particularly in areas surrounding Bapu Pariskar Parisar in Kumhrar and other major corridors.

Under the revised arrangements, auto-rickshaws and e-rickshaws traveling from Dhanuki Mor towards central Patna will be diverted through alternative routes via Zero Mile and the New Bypass. Heavy vehicles, including buses, trucks and pickup vans, will also face restrictions and be routed through the Mithapur New Bypass to minimize traffic pressure.

Authorities have advised NEET candidates to leave for their centres well in advance to avoid delays caused by diversions and increased traffic. The public has also been urged to cooperate with traffic personnel and follow the revised route guidelines to ensure hassle-free conduct of the examination across the city.
