One Killed, Over 20 Injured as Ranchi-Bound Bus Crashes Into Dumper on NH-19

A tragic road accident on National Highway-19 in Bihar’s Aurangabad district claimed one life and left more than 20 passengers injured after a Ranchi-bound passenger bus collided with an ash-laden dumper truck near Paharchapi Mor in the Madanpur police station area.

The deceased was identified as 35-year-old Vivek Singh, a resident of Varanasi’s Raja Talab area, who was travelling to Ranchi on official work with a pharmaceutical company. He was rushed to a hospital after the crash but was declared dead during treatment.

According to preliminary information, the accident occurred when the driver of the Rekha Express bus reportedly lost control and rammed into the truck ahead. The impact severely damaged the front portion of the bus and trapped several passengers.

Local residents and police personnel launched immediate rescue operations, shifting the injured to hospitals in Madanpur and Aurangabad. Authorities have begun an investigation, while concerns over highway safety and nighttime travel have resurfaced following the incident.
