Magadh University Extends UG Admission Deadline, Offers Relief to Aspirants

Magadh University has extended the deadline for undergraduate admissions for the 2026–27 academic session until Sunday, offering a significant opportunity to students who were unable to complete their applications earlier. The extension applies to admissions in Arts, Science and Commerce streams across constituent and affiliated colleges under the university.

University officials said the decision was taken to accommodate growing student interest and to align the admission process with Bihar government's recent notification regarding 17 newly established government degree colleges. The move is expected to benefit thousands of aspiring students across the region.

Admissions in the new colleges will initially be offered in six subjects — Hindi, English, Sociology, Economics, History and Political Science — with 48 seats available in each subject. Authorities have advised candidates to complete the online application process through the university’s official admission portal before the revised deadline. The extension is aimed at ensuring wider access to higher education and facilitating a smooth academic session.
