Inter-State Recruitment Scam Unearthered in Assam: Jobs Secured in Central Forces via Fake Certificates

A sensational inter-state recruitment scam has come to light in the Jorhat district of Assam, exposing a major racket where government jobs in central departments were secured using forged documents. The multi-state racket was unmasked when investigations revealed that candidates from other states used the address of Naosholia village in Jorhat to illegally claim the local quota. These outside candidates manufactured fake Permanent Resident Certificates (PRC), forged caste certificates, and fake income certificates of Naosholia village to easily secure government employment under the Assam state quota.

Through this organized fraud, several fraudulent candidates from outside states successfully obtained jobs in prestigious central security forces, including the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), and Assam Rifles. Initial investigations indicate that a massive syndicate is operating behind the creation and distribution of these forged residency documents. Authorities strongly suspect that this illegal racket is not confined to Jorhat district alone but may have its roots spread across several other parts and districts of Assam, which is currently being thoroughly investigated.

The revelation of this massive fraud has sparked widespread outrage among local residents and student organizations. This scam has severely impacted the employment opportunities of local, qualified Assamese youth who had been working hard for years to clear these competitive examinations. The police have registered a case against the syndicate that stripped local youths of their rights to hand over jobs to outsiders. Officials stated that candidates who secured jobs through forgery are being identified, and raids have been intensified to nab the government employees or middlemen involved in this racket.
