The National Testing Agency (NTA) has dismissed allegations of large-scale irregularities in the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) entrance examination results, stating that the concerns raised on social media do not reflect the overall situation.
According to senior agency sources, around 12,000 candidates participated in this year’s NIFT admission process, but only 15 students submitted formal complaints regarding their results. The agency emphasized that every complaint received was carefully examined and addressed through the established grievance redressal mechanism.
NTA officials explained that while some students expressed dissatisfaction and concerns about the results on social media platforms, the issue gained wider attention than the actual number of complaints warranted. The agency maintained that the complaints represented only a very small fraction of the total candidates who appeared for the examination.
Sources further stated that the review of complaints did not reveal any major technical errors or procedural lapses that could undermine the credibility or integrity of the result declaration process. According to the agency, the examination and evaluation procedures were conducted in accordance with prescribed standards and established guidelines.
The NTA also noted that concerns raised by candidates were reviewed in detail, and necessary clarifications were provided wherever required. Officials reiterated that transparency and fairness remain central to the examination process and that all candidate grievances are taken seriously.
NIFT is one of India’s premier institutions for fashion, design, and technology education, attracting thousands of aspirants every year through its national-level entrance examination. Given the high level of competition and public interest, result-related discussions often generate significant attention on social media platforms.
Following the agency’s clarification, officials hope that confusion surrounding the NIFT entrance examination results will be largely resolved. However, candidates who still have concerns regarding their scores or rankings have been advised to contact the NTA through the prescribed channels for further assistance and clarification.
