The Economic Offences Unit (EOU) of Bihar has issued a public advisory ahead of the NEET re-examination, cautioning candidates against falling victim to paper leak scams and cyber fraud. Officials said several fraudsters are using social media platforms, phone calls, and messaging apps to falsely claim access to examination question papers or guaranteed success in exchange for money.
The EOU has urged students and parents to rely only on official notifications released by examination authorities and avoid sharing personal details or making payments to unknown individuals. Candidates have also been advised not to circulate unverified information related to the examination process.
Authorities warned that those involved in spreading fake papers, misinformation, or engaging in examination-related fraud could face strict legal action under relevant laws. The EOU has encouraged the public to immediately report suspicious calls, messages, or online activities to the nearest cyber police station or through official cybercrime reporting channels.
