Former Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar visited the historic Ular Sun Temple in Dulhin Bazar and offered prayers to Lord Surya amid tight security arrangements. During the visit, he inspected ongoing development works and interacted with local residents and temple authorities.
Nitish Kumar said significant efforts were undertaken during his tenure to develop Ular Dham as a major religious and tourism destination. He noted that the transformation of the temple complex is now visible and reaffirmed support for preserving Bihar’s cultural and religious heritage.
Officials stated that ₹14.99 crore has been sanctioned for infrastructure development at the temple. The project includes construction of a grand corridor, guest house, pond, park, compound wall, mandap and other visitor facilities aimed at improving pilgrim experience and boosting religious tourism.
The former chief minister spent a few minutes performing rituals and seeking blessings for the prosperity and development of Bihar before leaving for his next destination.
