Bihar Cabinet Approves 13 Key Decisions to Boost Healthcare, Investment and Employment

The Bihar Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, approved 13 significant proposals aimed at strengthening healthcare, infrastructure, employment and industrial development across the state. Among the key decisions, the annual income eligibility limit under the Chief Minister’s Medical Assistance Fund was increased from ₹2.5 lakh to ₹4 lakh, expanding access to financial support for treatment.

The Cabinet also approved the establishment of a ₹31.20-crore Integrated Aqua Park in Bhojpur and facilitated infrastructure development for AIIMS Darbhanga. In the industrial sector, financial incentives were cleared for Varun Beverages’ ₹483.51-crore project in Buxar, expected to generate around 400 jobs. A ₹83.25-crore grain storage silo project in Madhubani also received approval.

To boost skill development, a new Industrial Training Institute (ITI) will be established in Nabinagar, Aurangabad. Additionally, recruitment reforms were approved to fill vacant CDPO posts through BPSC, while new measures were cleared to strengthen e-governance services statewide.
