A major fire broke out in Khudgash village under Raghopur police station limits in Bihar’s Vaishali district, reducing four houses to ashes and leaving several families homeless. The blaze reportedly started while food was being prepared at the residence of Tuntun Bhagat and quickly spread to nearby homes due to strong winds and extreme heat.
The houses of Tuntun Bhagat, Ajay Bhagat, Ramesh Bhagat and Anita Devi were completely destroyed. Essential household items, food grains, clothing, cash, furniture and important documents were lost in the fire. Eyewitnesses said the flames spread so rapidly that residents had little time to save their belongings.
Villagers initially tried to control the fire using hand pumps and motor pumps before firefighters and police arrived. After hours of effort, the blaze was brought under control. Local leaders have urged the administration to provide immediate relief, including compensation, tarpaulins and food supplies for affected families.
