The Bihar government has intensified its anti-corruption drive by initiating disciplinary action against eight circle and revenue officials accused of irregularities, misconduct, and alleged collusion in land-related matters. Acting on the approval of Revenue and Land Reforms Minister Dr. Dilip Kumar Jaiswal, the department has ordered charge sheets, salary increment freezes, departmental proceedings, and high-level investigations in multiple cases.
Among those under scrutiny is former Motipur Circle Officer Ruchi Kumari, who is accused of facilitating the mutation of valuable government land in favor of a private individual. A headquarters-level inquiry team has been constituted to investigate the matter. Former Barauli Revenue Officer Vijay Kumar Singh, arrested by the Vigilance Bureau in a bribery case, also faces formal departmental charges.
The department has additionally acted against officials linked to financial irregularities, disputed land mutations, and alleged bribery. With this latest move, 23 revenue officials have faced punitive action within a week, reinforcing the government’s zero-tolerance stance on corruption.
