The CBI has tightened its legal grip on retired judge Giribala Singh and her son Samarth Singh, the prime suspects in the Tvisha Sharma death case. During their court presentation on Friday, the central agency smartly turned the former judge’s legal expertise against her. The CBI posed a scathing question: "If you were innocent, why did you rush to file an anticipatory bail plea even before an FIR was registered, and why did you ask your son to flee?" Left cornered, Giribala Singh admitted in a hushed voice, "Yes, that was a big mistake on our part." This panic-driven haste has now become the strongest ground of suspicion against them.
To unravel the mystery of this high-profile case, the CBI is heavily relying on scientific and forensic analysis. While Samarth claimed in his statement that he brought Tvisha down from the noose and his mother untied the knot, the CBI plans to thoroughly verify this narrative. The agency will soon conduct a 3D scene recreation at their Bhopal residence. An 80 kg dummy, matching Tvisha’s actual weight, will be hanged to reenact the entire sequence of events. Furthermore, the retired judge will be asked to untie the knot on a replica ligature, and the belt allegedly used in the hanging will undergo a strength test to check if it could actually bear that much weight.
In court, the CBI counsel emphasized that Samarth is constantly changing his statements and non-cooperating with the investigation. To break this shield of lies, the agency has designed a tactical three-round interrogation strategy. In the first round, the mother and son will be questioned separately in isolated rooms to record their statements. The second round will involve a scientific cross-check of their timelines and narratives. Finally, in the third round, they will be brought face-to-face to confront the contradictions in their stories and extract the absolute truth.
