Magadh Range Inspector General (IG) Vikas Vaibhav has adopted a tough stance against organised crime, illegal sand mining, corruption, and extortion across the region, making it clear that lawbreakers will face strict consequences regardless of influence or position. Speaking to the media, the youth icon officer reaffirmed his “zero-tolerance” policy against crime and misconduct within the police force.

Responding to allegations of illegal money collection involving a senior police officer, the IG said no form of extortion or corruption under the protection of uniform would be tolerated. He warned that any police official found involved in illegal activities would face severe legal and departmental action.

Special drives have been intensified across Gaya, Aurangabad, Nawada, Jehanabad, and Arwal districts to arrest absconding criminals and dismantle organised gangs. The IG also stressed improving policing transparency, simplifying FIR registration, and strengthening police-public communication to ensure faster justice delivery.
