Fatal Bus Crash on Lucknow-Agra Expressway Claims Lives of Siwan Policeman and Prisoner

A devastating road accident on the Lucknow-Agra Expressway in Uttar Pradesh has left the Siwan police department in mourning after a bus carrying police personnel and a prisoner overturned early Tuesday morning near Unnao district. The vehicle was reportedly transporting officers and an inmate back to Siwan after a court appearance when the accident occurred around 4 a.m.

Officials confirmed that police officer Ravi Charan Ram from Siwan district and prisoner Dr. C.S. Tomar alias Chhatrasal Singh Tomar, a resident of Gurugram, Haryana, died on the spot. Three other police personnel sustained serious injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital, where they remain under medical supervision.

Senior officials said a police team has been dispatched to the accident site, while arrangements are underway to bring the bodies back to Siwan after legal formalities are completed.
