Political and administrative tensions escalated in Bihar as protests demanding the release of the BPSC TRE-4 teacher recruitment notification intensified across the state. Thousands of aspirants, frustrated by repeated delays, planned demonstrations in Patna and several districts, even launching symbolic “thali-belan” protests to pressure the government.

The situation turned tense after police detained student leader Rinkal Yadav ahead of a major protest in Patna. Yadav, a former Patna University Students’ Union presidential candidate, was reportedly taken into custody before the demonstration, triggering anger among aspirants. Protesters also alleged police used force while removing women candidates from protest sites.

Students accused the government of delaying recruitment and suppressing peaceful demonstrations, while police defended their actions, citing law-and-order concerns. Meanwhile, Bihar’s Education Minister assured aspirants that the TRE-4 notification would be released soon, though he also claimed certain groups were attempting to provoke unrest among students.
